Product Description
Nitric Acid is a strong mineral acid and a powerful oxidizing agent. It appears as a clear, colorless to pale yellow liquid, with yellowing indicating the presence of dissolved nitrogen oxides. Nitric acid is completely miscible with water, forming highly acidic and exothermic solutions. It is highly corrosive to most metals and organic materials, reacts violently with reducing agents, and decomposes under light or heat, releasing toxic nitrogen oxides. Its strong acidity and oxidizing properties make it essential for a wide range of industrial and laboratory applications.
